I have run both small and large organizations, publicly traded and startup companies.  I have worked as a Venture Capitalist. I have served on many boards of now public startup companies as well as continue to consult to major high tech companies around the world and to several government agencies. I also serve on multiple boards and advisory councils for several universities and performing arts organizations.

She is also partner and CEO of Chicka-D, an original, unique line of licensed women’s and girl’s apparel that follows the latest clothing trends and sells to the retail market.


Patti has dedicated much of her life to education and mentorship. She serves on the Board of Directors and Regional Committee for the Women’s Business Council, Southwest, where she won Regional Advocate of the Year in 2010, and the Women Working Together Award in 2011. Patti also represents WBCS as one of their Advocates on the WBENC National Forum, is Vice Chair of the Government Committee and Chair of the Host Committee for the 2015 National WBENC Conference and Business Fair.  She serves on the membership committee for the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance, and  is the  WBEC-West, Tucson Forum Chair and was nominated for  WBE Advocate of the Year in 2012.  Patti also serves on the Board of Directors for the Go for the Greens Women’s Business Conference.   She was named as an Enterprising Woman for 2013 by Enterprising Woman Magazine and as a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization – she served on the steering committee for the 2013 annual conference. Patti is active in the community serving as Chair of the Austin ISD – Reagan Early College High School Community Advisory Committee, as the Junior League of Austin – Community Council and Financial Development Committee Sustaining Adviser, and the Women’s Symphony League Education Committee. She serves on the Austin Women Business Leaders-Powerful Women Committee, which mentors graduate Women in Business at The University of Texas at Austin and as a mentor to small business owners through Big Austin. She is currently working to complete her CAS Certification through the Promotional Product Association International.

The firm began operations in 1991 and she has worked successfully with her business partner, Joe Langford, for twenty years.
